Title: Brightening Up the Universe: Unlocking the Mysteries of the Major Arcana

Hello wonderful souls! Welcome to the vibrant world of Tarot; a realm rich with symbolism, intuition, and, of course, plenty of magic. Today, we’re going to dive headfirst into unlocking the mysteries of the Major Arcana. So, grab your favourite deck, a cup of calming chamomile tea and put on that thinking cap. Let’s dive into the fascinating journey of gaining insights and truths through these magical cards!

First things first, for beginners, what is the Major Arcana? Well, the Tarot is composed of 78 cards, and they are divided into two groups: The Major Arcana (consists of 22 cards) and the Minor Arcana (consists of 56 cards). The term Arcana comes from the Latin ‘Arcanus’ meaning secret or hidden. Aren’t we off to an exciting start? We’re literally about to explore some hidden secrets!

The Major Arcana cards signify significant life events, lessons, or milestones, while the Minor Arcana ones represent the daily life ups and downs. The cards of the Major Arcana are brimming with symbolism; each of them picturing a character experiencing different stages of life’s journey.

Our first stop on this expedition is card zero – The Fool. Depicting a young man about to step off a cliff, representing spontaneity, beginnings and taking a leap of faith. So, in a reading, if you pull The Fool, the Universe might be telling you to bravely embrace change.

Next, we meet The Magician and The High Priestess at cards I and II, representing manifestation and intuition, respectively. Then there’s card III, The Empress, symbolizing nurturing, fertility and abundance. The list goes on, with each of the cards up to card XXI, The World, representing the end of a cycle and mastery.

Now, it’s important to know that Tarot is a mirror to your soul, reflecting your inner truths. If you’ve drawn a card that seems somber, like Death or The Tower, it’s generally not a cause for worry. Interestingly, the Death card (XIII) is not as gloomy as it seems. Instead, it speaks about transition, endings, and new beginnings – sort of a metamorphosis, into a brighter phase of life. Similarly, The Tower (XVI), often mistaken for disaster, signifies necessary change or upheaval to make way for the new.

Reading Major Arcana tarot is about interpreting the story that they are narrating about your life. Understanding these cards and their meanings is not about textbook definitions but about tapping into your intuition. Hence, tune into the vibes each card is sending out.

A fun fact before we go – did you know that tarot was initially a card game in the 15th century, in Europe, before it turned into a fortune-telling tool in the 18th century? With a history so vast and deep, it’s no wonder the wisdom the cards hold is beyond time and space!
